Morning everyone! It is raining and dreary here as usual. Doesn't do much to help cheer you up! I have a million things to do but don't feel like doing any of them. Hope everyone has a great day. Beth, how was your date last night?

Yeah that really was pretty amazing. I wish I had just bet 100 on that horse. I would certainly be a happy camper today. Beth is your husband the same as mine? Is he the eternal optimist. Mine is so happy always and sometimes I just wanna slap him because he never gets down like I do. Maybe it's just a girl thing.

Damn delivery man, I am going to have to fire him. The pies turned out great! They are definately death by chocolate. Yeah I know, I think I need some botox for this worry line I have between my eyes. My husband looks about 25 because he is so polly anna and turns all his troubles over to Allah. I wish I could be more like him too. I just went and had my hair done this week and I was like, hey didn't I just do this recently???? Oh well I guess it is good that one of us stays positive otherwise it would be pretty bad. Beth if I don't hear something this week I am really going to be PISSED. This is bordering on ridiculous at this point.

Botox, miracle in a 10 minute session, with Mo its the same, Inshallah, now he's got me saying it. I think that this immigration nightmare, roller coaster joureny is harder on the woman, rather she is the petitioner like you and I , or the beneficiary as some here, woman tend to plan more then men, "No offense guys" we plan for both good and bad on the ending of things. I cross my bridges in my mind before I get there.

Im like that, in my work and personal life. You will hear something this week, they got the doc they requested, now all they need to do is finish reviewing. I wonder about mine, as long as we are approved by end of May we will make deadline of Nov. 6th. The waiting in the USCIS part is the hardest, the rest will roll along faster. The trick is which I can not down pat is keeping mind off of it . I know one thing that keeps running thru my mind, Patience is a virtue, I keep says Not right now its not! LOL Hang in there, CSC has been too quiet, I think its like a hurricane, when the eyes passes over you, hell is fixing to break loose with approvals.

Truly happy!!!

my first visit here as i remember ...uhm

here i believe is all the ppl who are angry with USCIS ...

Nope you've got us all wrong. Here are the people of our original group who still remain unapproved. We don't get much out of our old group now that they are in the NVC stage. Not an angry one among us.

Angry NO. We all do know USICS is overloaded with work visas. and Yes we get bitter over it, cause family should come first.

This is a thread to vent, laugh, and just get thru this 1st stage of our journey. And as Betsy mentioned, some of the threads turned from petition waiting approval stage to the NVC stage. For me example, Ive waiting 3 times longer then you Egypt, 53 days since I got NOA 1, Ive seen one who applied after me approved, I saw a April filer already approved. And many forget, I did my 6 months waiting time before at VSC when it was truly tough, and yes we withdrew, but we still waited and waited.

We keep it friendly and light here, no hardness, I like to think of it as USCIS therapy while waiting, and along the way, making new friends, trying to keep spirits up and light.

Truly happy!!!

we're not angry. just frustrated.

you're right beth, seeing all the people who submitted their petition later than us gets approved just really really gets me frustrated.

it's not that i'm not happy for them, it's just that it sucks... we're paying the same fees... why can't they process it in an orderly manner.

it is really really unfair... but i guess nothing in life is fair.

Hi Beth and so your pain goes on. Surely we shall here good news for you this week. In fact I am very convinced you shall be getting your approval very shortly. It is after all long overdue and you and your husband have most certainly been patient throughout it all. Summer is here and may that sun shine on you.

Here is to an approval next week

Best Wishes

Arthur and Roberta

To Arthur & Roberta, my very favorite couple and my friends. It is you two that have been strong, waiting for so long. There is also a very shining light in your dark clouds, Roberta will be traveling soon, and once again your family will be together.

I pray also for your approval to come in very shortly, and then you can move on with your journey.

Yes Summer is here, my favorite season of the year, time to get some sun, have a long mini weekend holidays, and most of all, enjoying the long Summer days with your loved ones. The memories we make with our loved ones is the strength that carry us thru these trying times, times of hopelessness, times of mental exhaustion. One day soon, we will all look back at this, and will realize we emerged from it with our loved ones, and stronger mentally.

Have a wonderful holiday. Send me lots of pics, cant wait to see them.

Love to both of you's, all my best.

Beth XOXO

Good morning Castaways, its Sunday, and still can not sleep no matter hwo hard I tried. Time to get some sleeping pills, too many sleepless nights. Have a lovely Sunday, do a little gardening, spend time with friends, or just cuddle up on couch and watch your favorite movies. I plan to do all above, and hopefully get some sleep this evening.

I LOVE THE PIC OF YOU AND YOUR HUBBY! Have a wonderful sunday everyone!

:D hey everyone,

Hope all are well. I took a VJ holiday. I needed to get away and clear my head. I guess everyone needs that from time to time, I decided the end of this month I am going to my new home (NC) for a two day visit. Decided that I would get an appartment and not buy an other house. LOL, wish I could afford another house, I like to paint and I dont know if I can handle white walls.

I have not told my Hubbster yet but I am sneaking off to Jordan for a tiny 3 day visit (hehe). I really hope the flights look good I havent even looked but to be honest I dont care. My kids are with bio-daddy so I am free for 2 whole weeks, and rather than use the time for packing  .... I am going to hop an airplane (for a 5 day trip MAYBE enough time to pack when i get back)

I am STILL Waiting on my name changed passport getting a little stressed on that they have had it a month already and not a word ???? n

OHHH well. Wishing luck to you my fellow NOT ANGRY castaways... ;)

Hello my fellow NOT ANGRY Courtney,

Have a wonderful visit, I too want to visit, and I think I will just put in for some time off and plan on going. I think the destraction of planning a trip to Paris will do me good, and take some of my thoughts off of that NOA 2.

When are you going? I need to do the passport thing also, I understand it takes about a month, and there is a way you can check on the status, I think for another diversion of USCIS, I will fill out the application, and change my name on passport.

Think I will do that now while waiting for hubby to come on line, he was riding his bike and had bike problems. So now he trying to fix the bike, I tell him use the car, NO, he rather ride his bike. So, anyways, hope you feel better, let us know when your going, have a good day. Im off to throw color on the hair, and fill out Name change on passport application.

Hugs to all, have a good day!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Lol yes they have a way to check your status online (http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/status/status_2567.html) but it takes about a week after you send it to get it tracking. It was a fantastic distraction from everything to turn in papers with married name... :) I changed all my accounts over (almost all) I am trying to add him to checking but bank says he has to do it in person :(

I havent been to USCIS site since thursday or Friday. Thats how bad it is.

It isnt that I do not love my husband or that I do not want him here. Its more that I have a life here too he also has a life there. I cannot put together any more packets or make any more photo copies. He cant spend 10 hours a day online just in case I find a 10 min window to talk.

We filed the petition its in the hands of the US government and God. I'm done freeting over every little thing going on, because if I continue this way I will fail my classes and drive my husband INSANE.. LOL

ok so my sweet words for the day are ...
