I am so excited. I know I might not have been waiting as long as others have but I would like to keep encouraging others that their approval will come soon. I got that approval on April 24 after I put in a service request. Crazy huh. Both of them were approved. Before my husband was so frustrated about not hearing anything that now that we have he is just filled with nerves concerning his interview. My only question now is what to do next and could I go with the CR1 instead of the K3

My dates are similar to yours. I tried to put in a service request and was denied. I was told I had to go by the I129F dates and not I130 and therefore was not yet out of processing dates.

Oh in answer to your question, you can choose whether to follow the CR1 or the K3.

That's great news! Congratulations on your approval !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

CONGRATS! :dancing:

as childress said, you can choose which visa to persue now.

If you choose the K3, just ignore the correspondence from NVC regarding AOS fee bills ect.

If you want to go with the CR1, follow the shortcuts provided here on VJ for a quick journey thru NVC.

Good Luck with the rest of your process and celebrate being released from VSC hell :P

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

You can choose to go with either. It's 100% certain (at least to me) that your K3 interview will be scheduled probably about a month before the CR1. If money isn't an issue to you, you can go with the K3. If it is an issue, you should pursue the CR1. You have to figure out what's important to you and what fits your situation. If you want him with you as soon as possible, at least try and interview for the K3, if you'd rather wait for the CR1 I would wait to cancel the K3 interview until you have the CR1 interview scheduled.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all of your support and thanks for your advice. I will definately be going the CR1 route as a recent grad money is tight.
