Hi there,

I just sent in my AOS package and they recieved it yesterday. Today I'm kicking myself because I did not send my husband's W2s along with the Affidavit of Support. I can't believe I missed them!!

I called USCIS and they said I could mail them in but that I risk it getting mixed up with another case or it getting lost and them sending an RFE anyways. Should I just wait to see if they request them? Or should I go ahead and send them another package? Has anyone else had any experience with this? Suggestions?

Thanks! :)

Loads of people have had similar issues, and I'm pretty sure 90% plus waited for an RFE. That's what I'd do anyway (I think the good folks at USCIS get muddled enough as it is).

Another reason to send tax transcripts, easier, everything needed in one document...

Guess you have to wait for the RFE - it will be incoming.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I just spoke to my husband and I actually did send his tax transcripts with the package. I thought for some reason I needed the W2s as well. I hope that means I won't be getting an RFE now?

Thanks for all the responses!! :)

Wait. Mailing anything without an RFE is guaranteed to get it lost. You may get an RFE or you may get a notice to bring them to the interview or you may get nothing.
