Missed biometrics ----- HELP!!!!!!!

Ok guys, I'm living in Boston and I was supposed to go to my biometrics appointment on this last Saturday at 8am. Somehow I got confused and was absolutely sure that I was supposed to go on Monday. On my way to the biometrics office I realised the stupid mistake I had made. On my appointment notice they have this creepy message saying that if I fail to show up at the scheduled time and day my application will be considered abandoned. I REALLY don't want to file for AOS again because of such a stupid mistake. What should I do?

I dont know if there is anything you can do but file over again. I dont know if the USCIS will accept an "I'm sorry, I got confused" and allow to the process to continue.

Does it say on your letter that you may go the following wednesday if you cannot go the day they scheduled you?

Perhaps someone who has been in this experience can help you better.

Go back and read you letter closely again, my local office states at the bottom that if you cannot appear on this date, you may appear on any Wednesday up to a set date about 2 months ahead.

See if your letter says this anywhere, if it does you have no problem at all. If it doesn't then I suggest you call the helpline number given on the letter and explain to them. They will probably be able to get a rescheduled appt organised.
