HI! Anyone who would like to know about my Removal conditions.

I have received an approval letter for my Removal of the Conditions.

I have made an infopass appointment in my local INS office for 10 a.m. without an interview.

Checked in at 10 a.m.Was called to come by the window where the guy put my infopass appointment number and told me to look on the board on the wall and wait when my number will be called.

So,in a 30 minutes my number has finally been called. I came by the window number i was called in to.

The lady took my Removal of the Conditions letter approval , condratulated me and that my Removal of Conditions are approved. She made a copy if this letter for me and took the original for herself. Also she has asked me if my new 10 year card should be mailed to the adress indicated in the Approval letter.

She also took my 2 regular passport style photos away which i brought with me. Also she had taken a fingerprints of my front fingers only, from the each hand and then asked me to sign the registration form on the both sides.

The most suprising thing she told me is that my 10 year card is gonna be mailed to me in a year or a within a year and i was kinda a little bit shocked  I have asked her about why does the approval letter states that the card gonna be mailed within 6 month and the only thing she answered is that she doesent know and it will depend on the people who are making the cards and it might take less time for the card to be mailed to me.

So basically i will have to wait for about a one more year till i receive the physical plastic GC

The question is how long did it take for each of you to receive a 10 year cards by mail after that appointment in the local office?

Would appreciate your answers.

Sincerely.

Also i forgot to tell is that my passport has been stamped for one more year as well.

Sincerely.

After 5 months with no 10-year card arriving, I made an InfoPass appointment to follow up (DAH was given a 6 month stamp when he surrendered the 2-year card).

Turned out that the file had been sent to storage without placing the card order, so the officer made a call to make sure it would happen and sent a request by paper as well. Card turned up within a couple of weeks.

According to that officer, your 10-year card production is dependant on your Service Center doing the right thing.

HI! Thank you all for the replies.

Also i am worriyng about that i hope they wont mix out something like making a 2 year card again or mixing out the personal information on the 10 year card. The thing is that the officer didn't even take my yellow letter and didn't take the copy of my Conditional Card as that was the only thing i had as the Nebraska Service Center took my Original CGC away.So she basically said its ok. I hope they gonna do everything correctly.

Also ,lets say that i am not gonna receive my new 10 year card by the January,2007 when its a time for me to apply for the citizenship. Will i still be eligible to apply for the Citizenship with a copy of the Conditional Card only?

Thanks.

Sincerely.

You should follow the links to the Naturalization home page at uscis.gov and read the eligibility requirements--it helps you figure out when you can apply. Remember that for every "5 years" rule you read, the spouse of a USC can usually substitute "3 years".

You may apply for citizenship even if you do not have an I-751 adjudicated, or as in your case, you do not have the new card after I-751 approval.

Typically, the spouse of a USC can send in their N-400 application 90 days before their 3rd anniversary as a Permanent Resident. there are other qualifications besides that, so be sure to check your own details against the USCIS checklist.

Links etc in the pinned thread in the Citz forum.

PS: try to not worry about things like errors in your card... there is nothing you can do to prevent it, and you won't know what you get until you get it. Worry is a needless drain on your resources. :)
