I like this last bit...

For the dinosaurs that perished 65 million years back, extinction was extinction and the precise cause was immaterial. But for the bipedal mammals who were allowed to rise once the big lizards were finally gone, it is a matter of enduring fascination. So true :)

I like this last bit...

For the dinosaurs that perished 65 million years back, extinction was extinction and the precise cause was immaterial. But for the bipedal mammals who were allowed to rise once the big lizards were finally gone, it is a matter of enduring fascination. So true :)

Why not another answer? That's all. Nobody really knows and might not ever.

Aliens killed the dinosaurs. :alien: Just like they preform animal mutilations because they need the parts to survive they've been here for thousands of years. To continue surviving they produced the hominid by genetically mastering their material with apes. :jest:

Gee, I just installed a set of iridium spark plugs in my car, didn't know this came from outer space. Watched a program where mammal development accelerated about 14,000 years ago, when the ice age was coming to an end. Something happened back then to cause global warming, maybe those animals were driving HC powered vehicles.

Certainly meet enough people that tell me the earth is only 4,000 years old and they seem so sure about that. The only thing I know for sure is that I was put on this earth to serve my country, and I better be good or will end up in jail.
