Hi all ...

New to posting, but have been lurking for some time. My question is :

I notice a couple of other petitioners filed around the same time as I have. I notice that 2 of them at least have gotten NOA2 from CSC within a month of NOA1. I still do not have NOA2. I am curious if I made an error by *not* sending in an I-129F after receiving NOA1. The reason for not sending it in is my wife and I would like CR1. I know I should get used to waiting, but after sending my I-130 in I was looking at timelines here and at CFL and I thought "Oh, good ... it looks like I should get my NOA2 in a month. Well now I am begining to wonder if they are waiting on my I-129F? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

The only possible reason they even MIGHT wait on an I-129F is if you clearly indicated you would be sending one. Even then, I doubt they would wait on it. I'm seeing NOA1 to NOA2 ranging from 12 to 45 days from those filing in 2009, so I wouldn't give it a second thought for another month or so.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous

I put a request in for an original document on November 17th or so, and one month later they mailed my app off to cali where it was approved in 20 days. I've seen people who put in the 129f with their 130 and are still waiting more than 6 months to be processed. So, I think you're ok. But then it probably wouldn't hurt if you called them either...... best wishes.
