Limbaugh conspiracy theory: flu issue is "designed to get people to respond to government orders"

This comment on the site was able to "progress" beyond leftist reactionary superficiality to keep Rush's remarks in context:

MM wrong again. Limbaugh is saying that the government response to the influenza is what is designed to get people used to accepting the federal government taking charge in a supposed emergency. This fits in with his belief that Barak Obama intends to oportunistically use every crisis he can as a means of increasing federal size and authority in order to overwhelm the diversity that our states system provides and create a politically homogenous nation in which planning and direction can be carried on at a national level.

A hallmark of the type of socialism Limbaugh believes Obama is trying to push us into is that central government takes on the planning role and distribution of resources. Business and local government are allowed to still function, but the federal government can control them when it wishes. This is different from our current system in which business and local government operate indepndently of the federal government and have their own realms of authority over which the federal government has no power except in declared emergencies.

Mr. Sh!t, you are a master of foolish posting in your quest to further Rahm Emmanual's mandate to the Dims not to waste a "good crisis" to advance government nannyism. Not much effort has to be asserted to get you to think as they wish. Too bad they don't pay you; you're too easy.

I listened to the clip. There's nothing to take out of context. He said what he said. It's not hard to comprehend.

Oh - I forgot to add that while he was at it he started using a lisp or some other seventh-grade voice to make fun of the whole thing.

I think the point is that this isn't the regular flu that many get each year in the US. Rush id downplaying the situation with his comments. Do I think this swine flu is being over hyped in the news? yes, but I also think this is more serious than flu. If I get regular flu I may be in bed a day or two but if i get swine flu there is a greater chance of me dying if I don't get medical assistance.

Rush's dismissal of the swine flu is the non-existant issue I refer to. But the bigger issue is that the government is trying to train the populace to over react to a little information about a situation that has been blown out of proportion, as this flu scare has been. That works for you.
