checking status whats happening with the case

Hello,

I send in all the required documents for I-864 and for ds230 after making the necessary payments through online. My question is - how can i find out whats happening with the case? And what's the easiest way i can keep track of my case? Also how long does it usually takes to complete after NVC receives the all the documents [ds230 - i864] considering that there is no RFE?

Hi KeralianNY,

There is no website where you can check the status of your case once it is at NVC. You have to call NVC to find the status, you can listen to AVR or talk to an operator. That's pretty much it. Most people who had no RFE got their case completed in 7 to 10 days (including weekends) from the day NVC enters your case into the system (AVR will say that your documents have been received).

Just wondering how you guys submit all the paper work so fast...especially ds-3032 and ds-230 both need beneficiary signature and ds-230 need picture too....and Once my case approved how do I contact NVC to send everything through e-mail.

Hey Mili,

I used this wiki - http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...he_NVC_ShortCut to fly through the NVC process.

Before the approval - my spouse completed DS230 and gotten the necessary docs [Police certificate, B.Certificate, photos etc...] send to me. Also, after the approval i called NVC to find out about the case#, the day i got the number, they asked both of our email and other contact information. After like 3-4 days later i got the AOS fee payment email and spouse received ds3032 email. At this time, i send the DS3032 email again to NVC and also made my spouse to send it from the foreign country via postal

I did make a mistake with the DS230 IV bill payment ... I made the payment bit early before they actually send the IV bill. I ended up calling NVC to have that corrected; now i am waiting to get that updated in NVC system

KeralianNY pretty much summarizes the same things I did. As soon as I found out that USCIS had approved our I-130 petition, my husband started working on getting PCCs and other documents ready. I had everything in hand by the time our DS-3032 got accepted.
