can someone tell me about the cover letter for I-485. that what to mention in this cover letter.

Cover letter isn't required but if you do one, it should simply state what is in the package you've submitted (kind of like a table of contents). Similar to the example of the cover letter for the I-129f found in the Example Forms section.

If you choose to send one make it simple. You can say "my name is so and so and I'm filing for AOS, enclosed you will find the following:" And then make a list of all forms and documentation you have in the package. That's pretty much all you need.
