im very happy living in cebu. Im just telling you what happens if you bring them to the usa... find out for yourself.

learn the hard way..

ANYONE ELSE SMELL FISH???

Man, I hope this guy is fishing. I hate to think anyone would get himself into that mess.....

My wife is from Cebu. She's been here for 2 years without an incident. Although, the other night I caughtt her trying to file away at the shackles around her ankles. I just laughed it off and hog tied her for the remainder of the night. I think she learned her lesson.

If you have been having an internet only chat relationship, and your total in person contact with your girl is not very long, please think it over.

Take time to understand that the people in the phils want to come to the usa very badly. Dont just be a tourist when you are in the P.I. Get out and walk and talk and better yet go rent a cheap room with no aircon even for a couple of days. UNDERSTAND that a great many girls will do or say anything to come to the usa.

I live in Cebu. I am an American Citizen. I am probably going to get married in Cebu to my fiance. I will not even consider bringing her to the usa for another 3 years or so... if ever.

Do the research.. she will say and make you feel this couldnt possibly apply to you and her.

take your time.. there is no rush.. Test her attitude. Make her wait. You have time. Spare yourself

the expense and pain of a bad experience. BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS AND SLOW TO TRUST.

I see you haven't given up. Good luck to you this time!

Older big fat ugly Americans with a beautiful young filipino that doesn't realize part of the reason he has her is GREEN are pretty dumb!! :bonk:

Girls like that would spit on them in the US if the guy even said hi!!

True enough. BUT in some cultures it is not unusal for women to value more than a man's looks. I can tell you that many beautiful Ukrainian women would consider themselves lucky to have an older, experienced, stable man that isn't an alcoholic. Is it about "green" or is it about having a stable, peaceful, quiet home to raise their children? Not sure about Phillipines but in Ukraine a man's looks and body are way down the list of desireable attributes and, in fact, many believe if the wife is younger and more beautiful, the man will be more inclined to remain faithful. Don't know if it is true or not...works for me!

Also I lived there two years and do not recall any great number of people willing to do anything to get to the United States.
