Is it still possible to get a temporary EAD stamp to work while here on fiance visa? We plan on getting married as soon as he arrives and filing for AOS, but is there a way that he can work while we wait for everything to be approved?

The short but realistic answer is "No, not really." Once upon a time it was possible, depending on the person's POE. Best to get married and file AOS/EAD as soon as possible - EAD (Work Authorization) is typically approved fairly quickly (60-90 days).

a catch-22... the answer is yes and no... 90 day EAD stamp is historically only given at JFK ( a few isolated other places but inconsistent at best)... however, based on the new I-9 rules, it is nearly impossible to fulfill that requirement based on the solely the "stamp" in order for a legitimate employer to hire....

YMMV
