Ok....

Im getting nervous .... again ...

It all seemed to go fast and smooth.

Our petition went crazy fast, and got sent to the NVC.

After two weeks I called them, because I hadnt heard anything yet,

and they told me it was sent to my embassy....

She also gave me a 14 digit number that supposably refers to my case.

Though almost two weeks later, I still havent heard from the embassy.

Shouldnt I have my Packet 3 by now (or whats it called) ?

What can I do ?

Wait some more.

it can take some time for the embassy to process it. Have you tried sending email to the embassy and see what is going on?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I havent tried that yet ...

It did say in most places it would take about a week....

which we doubly passed...

I will try that then... thanks ...

I was looking all over the place here, and at their website to see how to get my status update...

Or how to contact them...

Also I never came across anything like the 14 digit number... most cases here speak of a number with letters first, then numbers...

have you tried calling the embassy ? i actually called the embassy because they don't send out packet # 3s' its actually emailed. well they didn't have my fiance's email until i called them! On VJ there is embassy contact information you should try that! Usually if it left NVC, they should have some record of it coming.

You can also track on DHL website under references:

for example since your package was sent 4/09 then it would be EXP APR 09 2009A

you will never know which one is really yours but if there is only 1 package that day going out to our embassy it should be yours.

You can try to call the embassy but from my experience with the embassy in Paris it's a hit or miss kind of thing. Just because you haven't received anything from the embassy doesn't mean that something is wrong, it took 3 weeks for my fiancee to receive packet 3 from the french embassy. Hang in there you will probably get something soon.

Timeline complete and up to date! Check it out!

So far i have called and paid 15 euro for no answer yet.

After explaining the situation he wanted to emphasize that the whole process on my side of the border could take 6 - 10 weeks.

Also considering all the medical stuff.

But when then i explained that my petition was approved within a month, the NVC sent it out within a week, and now ive been waiting for almost a month for packet 3, even though the NVC said it shouldnt take more then 2 - 3 weeks, he then gave me a phone number to the immigration services.

I will call that in about 15 minutes, because I cant any sooner.

I pray I will get my answers then and I will keep you updates

Our documents were sent from NVC to the consulate on 14 April. I used the above method to track it with DHL which worked well for me as there are very few from South Africa. It landed in SA on 16 April, was then moved from one point to the next for 2 days, and eventualy the shipment was put on hold at DHL on the 18th  . It was eventually delivered to the consulate almost two weeks later on 29 April.

i would wait another week or two without getting too worried. im sure you realize that everything with immigration is slow.

actually, they told me it was sent to me on the 9th of april.... so they immediatly sent me a new one, and i immediatly sent out my forms.

they even already had my police approval thingy in with a green light

thus : so far, so good, and getting better

although id like to catch up on some lost time,

so if anyone has a quick clear summary on the sponsorship paperwork...

my fiancee cannot be the only sponsor, so i need another

what do i need the both of them to get to me ?

Originals ? copies ? how much....
