The CO only asked Tucho a few questions.... it was 45 minutes of interviewing me. And funny thing is.... The CO was american and grew up in a town close to mine AND she has an aunt and uncle who live in my town. She said she knows my town very well. SMALL WORLD.

The CO told me the wait for processing the waivers is about 1 year. She said it could be less though. I spoke to my attorney last night. He told me Tucho is "as good as in" and it is good news that the waivers will be sent to Honduras instead of Philadelphia. He said he never heard of a second interview with the petitioner but every Embassy is different. . He said the processing is more like 6 months. They just tell you 1 year to allow enough time. I don't have the money to fly back to CR right now. The second interview is for the CO to write a recommendation for the waivers that go to Honduras.

So the waivers are on hold until you go to that interview?

Im sure there are processing time estimates(based on experience) somewhere here on VJ for waivers thru honduras.

Sounds like the interview went well eh? What kind of questions did the CO ask you? Will you post a reveiw for future CR'ers? :)

Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

yea, the interview went really well.... Let me gather my thoughts. My head isn't good right now....

I turned in the waiver I had with me and she said she would read it. They can't make the interview appointment until they have the marriage cert. I don't know if Tucho took it to the embassy yet. I can't fly there again so soon anyway. Tucho went to the Jungle for the week, so I have no way to call him. I have to wait til he comes back down the mountain. :angry:

Today is rainy and disgusting... Kinda how I feel... :yes:

Can't go to bed... I have a court date with the EX this afternoon... Just what I want to be doing.... YAY !!!

And I need to go car shopping. My current car goes "BYE BYE" on May 15th.

I think I will play the lottery ... maybe just a scratchy... I need to win some money.

Hey Jen, we missed u too :luv: Welcome back. Sorry to hear about u being sick and the waivers. Hope the rest of journey is shorter rather than longer. I am still waiting till June 17th which seems like quite a ways away :clock::clock::clock:

Exes...I am still trying to catch up financially from my divorce :angry: Maybe I need to join u in playing the lottery. I am flat broke as well!!

That was weird about the CO having relatives in ur town! A small world indeed!

Talking of procrastinating, I am the Queen of all queens. Still need to put away my winter clothes and make room for hubby in the closet :wacko: I guess I have 47 days to get it done but should get started this weekend... But knowing my procrastination tendencies, not sure how much I will accomplish :P He he maybe I can write the consulate and tell them they need to move up our interview date b/c I need motivation to clean my closets :rofl: Imagine lol
