Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

And thanks for the good wishes. That includes u Lis :luv::luv: Now I am hoping for the CR1 to ship to consulate tomorrow so I can stop wasting my cell phone minutes on NVC! We also hope to have our K3 date soon so I can request the flip ...I can't wait!

NVC Journey: Finally OVER APRIL 21, 2009!!! INTERVIEW PASSED 05/12/09; VISA IN HAND 05/20/09

03/05/09: K3 and I 130 both approved! FINALLY after 230 emotionally trying days @ VSC!!

03/06/2009 : NVC Received; 03/09/09 Case Number Assigned; 03/10/09 K3 stuck in AP

03/17/2009 : AOS/IV fee bills generated (by email @ 10:00 p.m.); 03/18/2009 : AOS/IV fee bills paid online

03/27/2009 : AOS/DS 230 package sent to NVC; 04/02/2009 : AOS & DS-230 entered into NVC system

04/14/2009 : Found out K3 was forwarded to the consulate in Leb and CR1 stuck in AP; 04/18/09: K3 delivered

04/20/09: WOOHOO CR1 already out of AP; DS 230/AOS accepted with no RFEs!! Sign in failed on NVC payment site.

04/21/09: MAGIC CASE COMPLETE @ 4:30 P.M. THANK U GOD!!!

04/27/09: Hubby passed his medical; CR1 interview assigned for June 17th By NVC; but changed to MAY 12th after emailing embassy on 05/05/09 )

Hey Seren, the countdown begins for us. We were hoping it would be closer but oh well. Better hubby enters with CR1 anyways. Saves us a lot of grief and waiting later on. Our consulate did not honor the flip. Accoring to their rules, the CR1 automatically cancels the K3, our K3 was gonna be Monday (May 4th)!!! :crying: But the bright side is waiting another 50 days is worth it for the aggravation this will save us for not having to adjust status once hubby is here.

In the meantime, this is me: Here I am, awaiting June 17th to roll around.....50 more days to go!! waiting.gif

Im sorry hun. I know you are probably VERY disappointed. But, 50 days isnt that long considering that you wont have to deal with AOS. You shouldnt have to worry about AP either :D

I still believe things happen for a reason. Hubby is so anxious to get here I think he seriously would have considered arriving in May as opposed to waiting for CR1 and it would have made us all confused wondering if we should get him here or wait an extra month and half. We had this discussion many times without any clear cut decision- but now the decision is made for us so I can relax and I don't have to obsess about our CR1 making it to consulate in time. They got 50 days to ship it :lol:

He he he the closets will be my goal for this weekend. But I have started changing little things around the house and spring cleaning. There are some work files that need to be organized and bills that need to be filed away so the living room looks spotless and more cozy. Will be changing the bedding in the bedroom and sprucing it up with some flowers, mainly adding some more color and life to it :luv:

Hubby and I are pretty disappointed but we also knew that some consulates had that rule b/c of other posts by Vjers so mentally I was sort of dreading it in the back of my mind. But knowing that we won't have to pay an extra 1010 and go through the hassles of AOS is my consolation :yes: No more harassing NVC so now I need me a new hobby :P

So when does Y arrive? You must getting anxious!!!
