Hi Everyone I Sent in Ds-230 for my husband on the 23rd.. the AVR is saying they received the checklist please allow 6-8 weeks for review.. so i was wondering if it actually takes that long or people are getting their case complete before that.. please reply..

Married:10-04-2008

USCIS

I-130 Sent : 12-12-2008

I-130 NOA1 : 12-18-2008

APPROVED: 03-05-2009

NVC

Case Entered Into NVC: 03-18-2009

NVC Sent DS-3032/I-864 Bill: 03-25-2009

E-mailed DS-3032: 03-26-2009

Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill: 03-30-3009

Paid I-864 Bill: 03-30-2009

I-864 Bill Shows as PAID: 04-01-2009/printed the document cover sheet

Sent I-864 Package: 04-02-2009

NVC put the I-864 in system: 04-07-2009

Mailed Ds-3032 after not hearing anything about the e-mail overnight thru usps: 04-08-2009

(Same Day) got e-mail from nvc approving Ds-3032/ IV Bill (hahah)

Paid IV bill: 04-08-2009

IV Bill Shows as PAID: 04-10-2009/printed the document cover sheet

**** waiting for husband to send me police record****

NVC e-mailed Checklist: 04-21-2009/printed that cover sheet too

Sent Ds-230 overnight thru usps: 04-23-2009

AVR-Checklist Received: 04-24-2009

Sign in error to nvc website: 05-04-2009

Final Review: 05-05-2009

Case Complete @ NVC: 05-06-2009 (no Rfe for I-864 or Ds-230 yey)

NVC Scheduled interview: 05-11-2009

Received E-mail from NVC for Interview: 05-12-2009

NVC forwarded case to Naples: 05-12-2009

Embassy @ Naples Received case: 05-14-2009

Medical: 06-22-2009

Interview Date: 06-23-2009@8am 2 days b4 his b-day!! (Got Visa)

POE:06-30-09 JFK

no it doesnt take that long

thi is the default message they give ...

the timelines are so accuarte

so dont worry ..give it 10-25 days and it will be complete God Willing

No it doesn't take that long. :)

Usually it takes 7 days to be completed, take a look at my timeline.

CR1 Process on NVC:

03/03/09 - NVC received papers

03/05/09 - NVC number assigned

03/09/09 - NVC generated DS 3032 and AOS bill

03/10/09 - E-mailed and mailed DS 3032

03/13/09 - Paid for AOS bill

03/18/09 - Choice of agent accepted by e-mail

03/20/09 - Got e-mail with IV bill

03/20/09 - Paid for IV bill

03/25/09 - Sent the IV DS-230 packet by mail direct from beneficiary's country

03/28/09 - Sent the AOS packet by mail

04/01/09 - AOS packet delivered at NVC

04/08/09 - DS-230 Packet delivered at NVC ( I don't know why that long it was stuck at Customs for like 2 weeks!!!)

04/09/09 - AVR says it's missing the DS-230 (False RFE)

04/09/09 - AOS approved

04/10/09 - DS 230 entered into the system, probably under review now.

04/13/09 - AVR says "The NVC has received the checklist letter response on April 10th"

04/20/09 - Case Completed at NVC

04/24/09 - Got e-mail with the appointment letter

Consular Process

05/26/09 - Medical Exam

06/03/09 - Interview Date!!!! PASSED!!

06/06/09 - Received passport and the Big Brown Envelope

06/24/09 - POE

We sent ours in and it was rcvd on the 21st. i called them to ask what the processing time might be so that we can plan vacation time to visit our family and not coincide with the interview time. The man told me that it takes 10-14 days to process but interviews are scheduled the second week of every month for the following month if everything is approved. What that means is that the second week in May, if our case is complete , an interview will be scheduled for June. Now as we sit on pins and needles, is the week of May 1st considered the 1st week in May or is it the following full week?? who knows!
