hi am new to posting questions. Does anyone know how to get a police certificate/record for mexico? any help would be wonderful. Thanx

En que ciudad vives? Cada estado es un lugar distinto. Si de casualidad vives en el DF la tramitas aqui:

Carta de antecedentes no penales

La carta de antecedentes no penales debe solicitarse en:

Secretaría de Seguridad Pública

Dirección General de Prevención y Readaptación Social

Atención Oficialía de partes

Coordinación de Archivo Nacional de Sentenciados

Londres No. 102 Col. Juárez

Delegación Cuauhtémoc

CP 06600 México D.F.

Horario de atención al público de 8:00 a 12:00 de lunes a viernes

Documentación que debe presentar:

- Carta firmada por el interesado, especificando detalladamente en dónde ha vivido después de haber cumplido los 18 años (ese formato ahi se los dán).

- Copia del acta de nacimiento

- Copia de una identificación oficial: credencial de elector (IFE), pasaporte, cartilla del servicio militar.

- Copia de un comprobante de domicilio (teléfono o recibo de la luz)

Este trámite es gratuito

El solicitante, cualquier familiar o amigo puede realizar la solicitud de trámite.

El proceso tarde aproximadamente 10 días.

thanx for the info david-j, my husband is in Michoacan, but now that I know how to tell him that a police certificate is called "Carta de No Antecedentes Penales" he can look for where to get it.
