I know it's a pretty silly question but I am just asking for ideas to organize both I-864 and DS-230 in one packet?

I plan to do two different folders in one big envelope and make copies of both of them with the case number labelled on every page- Any other ideas that you think will make their life easy and hence quick review of the case?!?!

So please share the do's and dont's for sending I-864 and DS-230 in one packet- Hope that would help a lot!

two different folders (or envlopes ) in one big Envlope

i believe thats the best way to do it

ppl followed the gudelines for the two packages preparing ..so if u did so ..go a head and send ur papers

some ppl send both together ..other send one by one

i believe tht theres no difference ..even i believe sending one by one as they are generated and ready is even better (my point of view )

for ex : my AOS was ready by april 23 while my IV wasnt even generated still

and my IV is generated sat ..which means i cant send anything only by tomorrow

but why the wait ? if i send the AOS earlier (as i did ) ..wouldnt tht make it into the system earlier ? then when sending the IV so its only wht they will work wz instead of working wz two big packages ?

some others believe sending both together make it to the system as a whole package ...but dnt know f tht save time as i stated above

after all in either ways they are entered into the system

matter of time :)

Good Luck

I would have sent AOS already but first we were going back and forth between K-3 and IR-1 .. then my co sponsor ended up filing an extension for 2008 tax return and accountant is away so I can't obtain the extension letter until the end of April- I dont have a choice but to send both I-864 and Ds-230 together since both of them will be ready in the first week of May.

I am just looking for ideas to organize papers as neatly as possible just so I dun overwhelm them with the paperwork which may result in RFE :)

i see

better is to put each one in an envlope (putting the address where it must go for every package )

then to put the both together in one big envlope to the main address (attn : CMR )

as of the way to organize this is to follow the guidelines ( make a cover letter tht state wts in evey package and put the documents on the same arrangement stated on the cover letter u made )

that make the officer know exactly wht he is expecting to see and in wht arrange

this make their job is even easier ..thts wht i did wz both my packages

i sent AOS ..DS-230 will be at NVC by this coming thrusday

hope tht helps :)

ALSO make sure that :

1: the forms are signed

2: dont leave anything empty ..if not applicable put N/A

3: while filling the AOS form ..ur income must match your tax return (which is mentioned on tax trans or W2 forms )

4: in the AOS package ..always its better go give evdence as much as u can

5: in the DS-230 package its always to include only whts required (but completed and valid )

this way GOD willing we avoid any RFE

:)

quick question here.. if the AVR says that I-864 packet was generated- does that mean they have accepted both AOS and IV fee- the status shows PAID but AVR doesnt mention anything about the bill??

dont depend on the AVR ..no one depend on it really

keep most of your contact with the NVC through calling and talking to an operator

AVR have problems and not always updated
