I can totally relate to the complaining about prices and products not being "just so"!!! Specifically my husband has had the hardest time finding shaving cream that he likes. It seems like all we have here is the gel stuff that foams when you rub it on you but he hates that. He wants the old fashioned foam type. All we could find was Barbasol brand but he likes this Gillette brand he used to get in Egypt. That and the price of cigarettes omg. $12 per pack in NYC. Here they're about $9/pack but we drive to NH where everything is tax free and they end up being around $5/pack if you get a carton. Pain in the neck though.

Hot as hell here today but the girls and I managed to clean out our drawers and closets and put the winter/fall stuff in a pile for hubby to pack and bring down cellar. Now watch it'll be 30 degrees tomorrow. lol. I made everyone keep 2 fall outfits just in case we have some unexpected chilly weather coming up soon.

I forget who has the 7 yr old girl bday but I wanted to say what we did and it was FUN!!! It was all Disney Themed and my girls were turning 7 and 8 (their bdays are 4 days apart from each other) so we invited their friends for a sleepover and I bought each one a blank white pillowcase. I took a group picture of each bday girl with their specific friends (God forbid one was with another one's friend ) and printed the pictures out onto this iron-on type material I got at the craft store. Then while they were watching a movie together with sufficient popcorn and m&m's to keep them busy I ironed on all of the pics to the pillow cases and that was part of their "grab" gift to bring home with them. We played games like guess the princess where I'd jot down certain things about each, like "who was in love with Alladin", etc. I also did each girl's makeup for the group picture. I was pooped totally but we made good memories. We actually went on a Disney land/cruise vacation two days after which really rocked and sealed the deal but that was when prices were still low due to being only a couple of years after 9/11. The weather is beautiful! Tarik and I rented "Step Brothers", "Seven Pounds" ( I heard it's sooooooo sad) and "Twilight" (because I want to see it again )

Ughhhh roaches... I HATE THEM!! This is the one thing I've hated the most about moving to VA.
