Hi!... finally.. after almost 4 months of waiting, we finally heard some news from the USCIS last April 22! And then.. now that we finally have some update -- we are both clueless what it means!

our status now says:

Current Status: DOCUMENT OTHER THAN CARD OR TRAVEL DOCUMENT MAILED TO APPLICANT

On April 22, 2009, your document I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was processed and mailed to the address on record. If you have not received it within 30 days of April 22, 2009, contact our customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move while your case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your address.

We haven't received anything yet and are both waiting -- can someone tell us if this is already our NOA2?

And what does the status mean...?

It sounds like they mailed your petition back to you. It may be a missing signature or the signature looks too much like a photocopy...or there may be empty fields on your I129f. You should try to contact USCIS for clarification. Best wishes!

If it was your NOA2 the online status generally changes to "Approval Notice Sent". As per the advice above, call USCIS for clarification.

If they mailed the petition back, I don't think they would have cashed the check. And if they hadn't cashed the check, then the OP wouldn't know their case number. Also, if the OP already recieved NOA1 (sorry, I haven't checked the timeline) then they would get an RFE for an incomplete form, and not get the whole thing returned I don't think. Is this the message that gets put in the update if it is an RFE? I think its something different. Definitely call USCIS.

If nothing comes in the mail by next week, THEN I'd start calling people. No use getting frustrated on the call with the misinformation line when the answer's coming in the mail in a couple days.

If nothing comes in the mail by next week, THEN I'd start calling people. No use getting frustrated on the call with the misinformation line when the answer's coming in the mail in a couple days.

Also, please fill in your time line!

the uscis cc ppl told they cant check wt is in the mail letter because that letter/mail directly sent by csc. theycant check online.

I filled for k1 back in Jan. My case status says exactly as everybody's (document mailed to applicant). Anyone knows what that means?
