HI MY MOM FLEW OUT OF THE STATES ON DEC 1 2008 , NOW WE ARE NOT SURE WHEN DOES SHE NEED TO COME BACK.

SHE HAS A PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD. (GREEN CARD)

MY HUSBAND THINKS BY THE END OF MAY, AND OTHER PEOPLE SAY BY MAY 1.

CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE.?

Less than one year should pose no danger.

After a year, you need a reentry permit.

After a year, you need a reentry permit.

Anything over 6 mo, and they can not count that year towards your "continuous residence" for naturalization.

And if you plan on being gone for more than a year, get the re-entry permit prior to depature of the US.

They can grant up to 2 years (non-renewable).
