If you're actually trying to taste the heart, it taste like rare steak with blood. It's a little bit salty and ofcourse bloody. Keep you up all night and doing you know what. It's great! :)

I heard lot about swallow the snake heart will keep you awake all night. But, I wasn't sure this is true or not? It's really make you energetic all night.. hmmm.. :wacko: IF it really does, I really want to try it someday. Anyone care to share????

I guess you have tried OYSTER before right? After eating oyster, I will feel very energetic. At least that's how I felt. This is the same feeling and even more. It's crazy and wild. But don't get too drunk or else u don't know what the heck you're doing. hahahhah :devil::thumbs:

Vietnamese women convince men to eat all kinds of crazy things under the guise of "improving men's health." I personally believe it's more of a subconscious control issue, myself. Do the various crazy things actually work? Maybe some of them do. But I have only anecdotal evidence to prove it. And I can't really go back to the same set of circumstances and not eat the crazy things to see whether my "health" declines. But it does make for some pretty good stories.

Too true! My fiancee has asked me a couple of times to bring nutritional supplements that are either difficult to find or too expensive in Vietnam. She has made some odd concoctions for me to treat some relatively mild ailments. I've eaten or drank pretty much everything she gave me, but only after insisting I know exactly what's in it, and confirming that it isn't going to make me sick. I can't help but feel that some of the ingredients are chosen for their horrible taste, rather than any specific health benefit.

My fiancee thought western medicine actually made people more sick. She changed her mind in January when I gave her two Advil for a headache. On my last trip, whenever we were packing my backpack for a day trip, she made sure the Advil was packed! :whistle:

Luckily, I don't have that problem, as Bố is a Western doctor. That is, he practices Western-style medicine. One entire large cupboard in the kitchen is a pharmacy! However, that sure doesn't stop other family members from concocting all sorts of awful tasting and smelling stuff for various things.

Are we now not only hijack Jack's BBQ thread, we also switch it to Medical treatment and discussion?

I'm in! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Anyone knows how wonderful that hotpad is: Salonpass!???? What would you list them as? Western med or asian? Cuz I got them at Costco, can't really say it's 100% asian or westerners for it's sold at Costco. Good for back pain and stuff.

it's the same thing as vicks or icy hot so I say it's western medicine. If it's tiger balm or the green oil then thats the beast from the east.

One thing's for sure--I'm sure Jack doesn't really care that we hijacked his thread. In fact, I think it's the furthest thing from his mind. Congratulations once again Jack and Xuan!

OK, another turn on the thread, but I really need to know.

Is there actually a limit to the rules for Tien Len? My wife seems to add a new twist whenever my friends and I seem to have the game figured out. And of course it's always in her favor.

OH com'on. Bottom line she is cheating on you. My wife did the same when I am in VN playing with her. There isn't any RULES for Tien Len. The only rule for her is HER WAY OR NO WAY. Tien Len has creating many many RULES from different city in VN. The only RULES is when playing with her YOU HAVE TO LAY DOWN ALL HER RULES. Make sure you write down all her rules, and ask her to signs that agreement. hahhahaa... Good luck, 9 out of 10 I am always losing to my wife, and she took all my money. :wacko::wacko::crying::blink::blink:

At first I thought this thread was suppost to be FOOD. Start out as bbq but I was talking about food so it's in the same category right? heheheh Now Anh Map wanna talk about Tien Len. heheheh I think each of us should start out by listing rules that our ladies have given us. Even with someone like me who knows how to play and when I play with others the rule will change. Haven't play card with my wife yet and I don't know if she even know how. It's gonna be fun at the first time since I'LL BE MAKING ALL THE RULES. Then I guess the table will change once she knows how to make rules herself.
