Is your husband a UK citizen? If he is, you need one of two types of "spouse" visa, either FLR (further leave to remain) or ILR (indefinite leave to remain). The former is issued if you've been married less than four years, the latter is issued if you've been married more than four years AND those four years have been outside the UK AND you have passed a UK-based knowledge test called Life In The UK.

If he is not a UK citizen, there are different types of visa but the application process is still very much the same.

Seriously, come on over to UK-Yankee. Lots of help for you there, including how to apply and what you need to include with your application!
