"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Well, they don't speak actual German in Austria. What Germans call Mais (corn), the Austrians call Kukuruz.

yeah i learned that one day - some airport i was in, several guys were talking and although it sounded familiar, i still couldn't follow the conversation so i asked them where they were from - austria!

IMO its not that big a deal - while the official language of Austria is indeed German - it is a different dialect and there are indeed many different words/phrases/terms between the two 'versions.'

As long as it's a big deal to Lucky, that's all that matters.

I remember back in the days - I was a teenager living in East Germany and, hence, not having a lot of exposure to folks from Western Europe - we met this Austrian family while camping in Hungary. Let me tell you, there were some communication issues for sure. It was a fun experience meeting German speaking folk and still not understanding them 100%...
