So with the crappy economy my husband is not currently working (he was when we applied).

Looks like we may need a co-sponsor.

I want to clarify:

Can my husband's father co-sponsor me? (He is USC)

Do co-sponsor's have to have the same residence as the applicant? (My husband and his father DO NOT live in the same residence)

Does the co-sponsor have to make 125% above the poverty guideline for 3 people (himself, his wife, and me) or does he have to have enough for 4 people (himself, his wife, my husband, and me?)

I see conflicting information on this and just want to make sure. We just got our NVC case # so are expecting these next steps shortly.

Whew - almost there!

True love knows no borders.

I want to clarify:

Can my husband's father co-sponsor me? (He is USC) Yes (assuming he's not already sponsoring a bunch of people).

Do co-sponsor's have to have the same residence as the applicant? (My husband and his father DO NOT live in the same residence) No, not at all.

Does the co-sponsor have to make 125% above the poverty guideline for 3 people (himself, his wife, and me) or does he have to have enough for 4 people (himself, his wife, my husband, and me?) His household and the intending immigrant (not the intending immigrant and their household) so it sounds like 3.

Am sure you already know this but just in case. Your husband (as the primary sponsor) will still need to submit an I-864.
