Who can I call?

Hey guys...

Who can I call to find out the status of my green card.

I've been sitting back like an idiot waiting patiently, watching people from DECEMBER get their green card approved and I filed in Septmeber and haven't had anything happen to my file since January.

Is there a number I can call to find out what's going on?

I'm concerned because next month will be a year since my medical in Canada...I'll have to go get another one if my green card isn't approved before then.

Please, can someone give me some guidance?

My advice is to make an Infopass appointment- calling the so called Customer Service will only give you the same information that you have online. Good luck!

I know it's too early in the game, but last night I broke down and contacted my Senator. I just lost it and was pissed. Laura, why don't you try that route, too?

Most of the time, if the case is transferred to CSC which requires no interview but

it takes longer then the one has got an interview at the local office.

But again, yours is way too late to receive GC as if your case has been forgotten.

Like the other members said here, make an INFOPass & ask "What is going on with GC ?"

Sorry to hear about the delay Laura, but I have heard and I believe it to be true that the medical date has to be under 1 year when you SEND your AOS package.... so even though it may not be approved by the 1 year date that does NOT mean you will have to get a new medical! It was less than a year old when you applied for AOS so you are good! I think an infopass appt may be a good idea....

The medical part is the biggie for me...I really didn't want to pay for another one. Now that I know that's not a factor, I've calmed down a lot.

I'll wait a little while longer and if I still don't hear anything.....then I'll make an appointment.

We have so much going on in May...I'll just leave it till after if I still don't have it by June.

Carlawarla I recall stating it doesn't matter if the medical goes past 1 year and you're not approved, as long as you sent it in before the 1 year which you did - so it's all good! I've seen it other places as well. I really hope you get some good news soon!
