Another question about the packet 3 I received today.

I have my vaccination record, a US passport picture and my case number from the letter I received from the embassy.

My question is, is it OK to book the medical now (seeing as the results last 12 months), before I have had further correspondence with the embassy Re: the packet 3 forms and so forth (though I shall be mailing those tomorrow). I really need to manage my time well with exams coming up in just over a month and won't have much time to travel down to london then, so I would like the medical out of the way as soon as possible.

Thanks again VJ, you guys rock!

If you meet the requirements to do the medical - you can. But, if it takes more than 12 months to get the interview, you would have to do it over again (added costs).

Did they tell you how long it takes to do the medical? For example, Ankara sent info to me saying to plan the medical 2 weeks prior to the interview, so no rush.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I'd like to be in a position where I can wait but it all needs to be done yesterday  . I think I'll go ahead and try and book it.

Also, to avoid posting another thread today; I read somewhere that if I need a co-sponsor, they will need to file another form to the petitioner's I-134. Any advice about this?

Thanks again

they would need to fill out a seperate I-134 for the embassy.
