I called NVC this morning

I held off calling as long as I could, the nice young lady at NVC read her message off to me without a hitch, but alas no interview yet. They will email us when we have a date - "due to capacity we unfortunately weren't successful for May, (yep knew that already) and once again due to capacity there is no way of knowing for June."

However, I am collecting decent boxes at work to be able to start packing up the remaining odd and ends around the place. I hate the thought of paying for boxes, when the school is always receiving good and sturdy boxes on a regular basis. For years, I have had a place off the activity room where I hoarded boxes, and when people were moving they came to me for some.

I am feeling more anxious waiting for an interview date than any other part of the process. I wake up early in the morning to check my email. I wonder if they keep a record of how many times you call in to see about progress on your case? In some of the other forums folks are calling 3 - 4 times a day.

Well time to go a bit of quilting before work.

I am guessing you're going to get an interview about late June maybe early July based on your timeline. I couldnt stay in Vancouver longer than today (actually.lol) as my employment ended yesterday so I went for K3. but the CR1 is taking quite a bit longer in Montreal and I wasnt waiting around until June or July - ish.

but looks like you are more patient than I am. dont worry, it will come soon. meanwhile start preparing everything you need to do for your move.

*note: dont cancel your medical until you leave or for sure know you're not going to need it. BC med will not reinstate your BC Med even though you're still a canadian citizen or have an active address or travel back and forth for work. You will start over as a new resident and wait 3 months. I had to do this as i was waiting for a special surgeon's appointment and was granted for a july appointment and I tried to get my med happening again (even tho i asked for an appointment way before i requested for my bc med cancelled) and they arent very nice about it.

Keep checking for that email. We received ours March 27 for a May 12 interview, it always arrives when you least expect it. Good luck!

I know from my wife's case that they do keep track as when we fell out of the processing times I was calling once or twice a day and actually got lectured that we're not the only case there and blah blah blah Lol. I know towards the end when they were just taking their sweet time that I actually annoyed the Consul who caused us problems, but that was fine as that was my intention Good luck!!

IMO - if you have a look at the timeline to interview thread for your type in the Canadian forum, you don't need to start bugging them until you think perhaps it's overdue.

You don't need to call once or more...everyday just to bug them. It doesn't help your case along, although I don't know that it hinders it either.

We were all impatient, this process is brutal, and we all obsessed over it (don't let someone tell you they didn't!). But you have to keep things in perspective and keep busy planning the move or whatever.

This is the sucky part
