US Embassy and Consulate General Discussion

You are almost there and now you have to deal with the embassy. This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.

YMMV

Handwritten is fine. Legible and black ink is what they say. DS156K is for the foreign fiance(e) only. Not needed for K-2 visas.

If you are sure your baby will be considered a US citizen, then it is not a problem, she will not need a visa as a citizen. If you are not sure, better to wait. I am not familiar with the process. Your visa will be valid for 6 months after issuance and if you are certain the baby will be documented as a US citizen by then, don't let it affect your interview date.
