Giovanna,

Did you apply for the I-130? or is he trying to registed the birth abroad? I have seen your other posts and they are not clear? Can you expalin a little more?

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

If he is getting a US passport for the child then there should be no interview. This is very confusing. Just a breif interview example for my step kids.

All the questions were pertaining to the relationship between me ( THE USC ) and the father. We broguht basically the same proof we used at our AOS interview along with pictures of me and the boys as I visited them about 1 month before the interview. I wish you the best of luck which ever way this goes

The child is already registered in Colombia (has a colombian birth certificate) but he never applied for the consular report for birth abroad. So he is going next month to do this and has to bring proof that he lived a certain amount of time here in the States and prove to them that he was in Colombia 9 months before the birth of his daughter. All of this has to be done in order for her to be considered "American" so that he can apply for an American Passport for her and bring her when he comes back. BUT there is an interview process and that's what i wanted to know if anyone had gone thru. None of this has anything to do with a visa or applying for a visa. This is to qualify her as an American born abroad.
