Timeline

PLS I NEED HELP. I RECEIVE MY GREEN CARD TODAY AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT MY SSN. THE REASON IS BECAUSE I VE NEVER APPLY FOR SSN BEFOREE. SO I DONT KNOW THE DOCUMENT I WILL NEED SINCE MY I-94 IS EXPIRED.

PLS HELP ME , GIVE ME ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO.

Take your Green Card to the Social Security Office ... you will get an SSN

06/21/2005 I-129F NOA2

07/18/2005 Consulate Received package from NVC

11/09/2005 Medical

11/16/2005 Interview APPROVED

12/05/2005 Visa received

12/07/2005 POE Minneapolis

12/17/2005 Wedding

12/20/2005 Applied for SSN

01/14/2005 SSN received in the mail

02/03/2006 AOS sent (Did not apply for EAD or AP)

02/09/2006 NOA

02/16/2006 Case status Online

05/01/2006 Biometrics Appt.

07/12/2006 AOS Interview APPROVED

07/24/2006 GC arrived

05/02/2007 Driver's License - Passed Road Test!

05/27/2008 Lifting of Conditions sent (TSC > VSC)

06/03/2008 Check Cleared

07/08/2008 INFOPASS (I-551 stamp)

07/08/2008 Driver's License renewed

04/20/2009 Lifting of Conditions approved

04/28/2009 Card received in the mail

I applied for it on monday and received it in the mail today. Nothing to be worried about, just bring with you your passport and your green card, it's all you need, plus the form to request the SSN (you can find it there, or you can download it online).

That's for people that checked off on the DS-230 that they wanted an SSN when applying for an immigrant visa. Has nothing to do with someone that entered as a K-1 and has Adjusted Status to permanant resident.

Go to nearest SSA office with a completed for SS-5 and your birth certificate and I-551 card.

I ve never apply for EAD. The only thing i ve now is my green card, and i will go along with my passport, marriage certicate, birth certificate, any other thing.

If I-551 card has your married name, you just need to bring the I-551 card and BC.

You need proof of age, idenity and work authorized status. I-551 is proof of idenity and work authorization and the BC is proof of age.
