Hi, after 14+ months of waiting and after a RFE and sending updated tax transcrips etc. now they call both of us for an interview.

I just would like to know if any of you went to these interviews and what there like. What questions they ask, what did you bring? things like that.

Our interview is in Manhatten New York so I'm not too happy about paying $50.00 to park as it is. I don't know what else they want? Anyway any input will be insightful.

Regards,

Peter&Alyona

You can find street parking in Manhattan and walk/take the metro to where you need to be. I did it :]

Haven't had the ROC interview though.

Filing for N-400 now

My friend had the same story: first they wanted more taxes and then an interview. But she didn't have many joint bills(private house rent-no lease, all utilities included), only her bank account and credit cards. The total I-751 package she sent was very small. The most important thing was that her USC husband stopped working after she got the first GC. So at the interview the officer mostly wanted to know why the guy didn't work. The whole conversation went into talking about Mexicans taking all the unskilled jobs and my friend was not even getting involved in their rediculous conversation. Overall very relaxed interview, they just acted as they did everyday(very stupidly funny).

So guys just be yourselves and it will be ok. They just wanna see how you act together under pressure.

PS Went to NY office myself for the first interview. Seriously, take a train  When is the interview?

Good luck!

Hi, Our interview is May 4th. Yeah if we take the train it will take all day. I rather pay and be comfortable. Thanks for the response. There will be no pressure because we have nothing to hide.

It's just makes my skin crawl of how many illegal immigrants I'm surrounded by every where I go, and millions coming in this country every day and "we" the legal ones, jumping through every hoop the INS throws at us and now have to go and waste our time. Like they are really making a differance. My wife is a nurse already and takes care of these illegals, ain't that a kick in the head? Ok, I'll stop ranting now

Good luck! We may be down the same road. It has been 14 months for us too. At 12 months we got an rfe, so I sent a packet with supporting docs that was huge, I mean a box to ship it. We haven't heard anything yet, I am thinking it is going to be an interview too. I agree, illegal immigration all over the place, and here we are doing the right thing, and really just like going through hell. If you haven't been through the INS nightmare, you just don't get it. Anyway, good luck!
