Interview Letter

My interview letter arrived today - couple of questions:

1. Are certified copies of birth certificates of children - does this mean a notarized copy of the birth certificate(s)?

2. Should my spouse accompany me at the interview? I am thinking it is important.

3. An original IRS form 1722. We have faxed copies from the IRS, do you think that counts as the originals?

4. My spouses birth certificate is from the county - is that acceptable? Probably doesn't hurt to order one from the state.

1. They have to be certified from the agency that gave them to you (like the county clerk or government official) - Different than notarized. Usually a seal/stamp.

2. He can - doesn't hurt. He may not be allowed to be with you for the actual interview.

3. That should be fine.

4. I don't know if that is acceptable - you may want to contact them and check.

4. As long as the county issued the birth certificate, you should be fine (that's what we used for AOS, without any problems). As a precaution, you could also take your spouse's passport, for proof of citizenship.
