Administrative Processing is pretty normal going through Egypt. They even tell you all is good and then the checks get slowed down. Read around this section. . .it can be very short or very long. . .and there is little pattern to the madness.

Welcome, I hope they get things completed for you soon.

From what I hear they put just about EVERYONE in Egypt in AP. I think that sucks because there sure are higher fraud countries than Egypt. I am sure I will be in the same boat here soon!

AP is common in Egypt. It is frustrating, dissapointing and confusing to be put in AP, but it is better then being denied. This is just another part of the process. It can be anywheres from 1month to 1+ years. Average is more like 4-6 months. Add your name to the AP tracker forum to help others track AP and for support from people who have been there or are there now. Link below:

I wonder what countries those would be?????

I can think of a couple right off the top of my head. Phillipines and Russia come to mind.

they kept my passport and told me they will send it shortly , then embassy says AP , i guess there is some part of AP done at the embassy , why did they keep my passport?do they normally check cases before interview??that's why they kept it?? why did they do AP?

they called me on Monday 13th to ask about my travels to Joradan , syria and UK , do you think , this is good , knowing that i was there with my wife (Jordan and syria) i told the co at the interview but when they called they were asking about how long it was , i assume egyptians r doing the AP,

is this a good sign? despite embassy says AP?

I have heard of this before. Where they say submit your passport, but send it back while on AP. I can;t give you good or bad news regarding your specific situation. As long as you were honest about your travel and reason for travel you the news should be good.

They can order checks anytime. 0nce they are finished, they can turn around and order them again. There is no figuring out Cairo Embassy. Period.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
