Well, my fiance mailed the I-129F petition on June 19, 2003 and it was approved December 30, 2003. I received my K-1 visa March 30th, and moved to Georgia May 8th, 2004. My husband and I were married June 19, 2004, filed the AOS, AP and EAD applications in Atlanta and they were received July 23th, 2004; I received my first AP 7 days later, had my first biometrics appointment August 23rd, received my first EAD August 30th, 2004, and then waited . . . and waited . . . and waited . . . On August 4, 2005 I applied for my second EAD and AP; got the first available biometrics appointment for October 9th. On September 20th, 2005 our AOS file was transferred to CSC and received October 1st. Then it was touched October 5th. I received my 2nd EAD October 17th and my 2nd AP October 30th, and then once again we waited and waited and waited . . . I got my third Biometrics appointment notice on December 19th for December 29th and requested a re-schedule due to being 1000 miles away over Christmas holidays and flights already booked; received a re-scheduled appointment on January 3 for February 8th when I was again fully re-fingerprinted and re-photographed. This time, however, my file was touched on the 9th and again on the 10th . . . do you think . . . maybe . . . could it be . . . I might actually be getting closer to receiving my AOS? Well, so much for waiting for our 2nd anniversary . . . I will be very happy when it is finally here!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Richard, I bet your green card is valid from the date of the first touch (10 days before the approval date).
