Rio and next steps

We got our noa2 :dance: and our case has been through nvc and forwarded to the the consulate in Rio. It should be there this week. We're wondering what the next steps are. Does Rio send out a packet 3? How does it work there?

Congrats - not sure what Rio does - check their website!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

The website says that they no longer send out a packet 3. You can see all of the information here: http://www.embaixadaamericana.org.br/index...n=immigrant.php

They give you a list of all the forms you need and the paperwork. I believe if you use your receipt number from NOA2 you can log on to their website and see when they scheduled your interview.

They send out packet 4. The next step would be to work on getting a medical exam once you have your case number for RJ. (Assuming you've already prepared the other paperwork.)
