technically only one year is needed and 2008 is fine, but it's always good to provide at least 3 years because sometimes they ask for it...

Its better to send more than less. If you have them send them, if not call IRS and get them to fax you the last three years tax transcripts. Easy.

09/14/2006 - US Embassy interview. Ask Lauren to marry me again, just to make sure. Says Yes. Phew!

10/02/2006 - Fly to New York, EAD at JFK, I'm in!!

If you do a search for Thailand Packet 3, you can find copies provided by myself and another member. It specifically states in there that you are to send the I-134 Affidavit of Support and the latest year's tax return/transcript, as well as a copy of your (Petitioner's) passport and a letter from your current employer. As others said, it could not hurt to have previous years on hand in case they are asked for, but initially, they are not in Bangkok.

We only had them for 2008. but, of course, if you have more, include them. They did not ask for any of them, though, which probably does not apply to many other consulates or embassies (we weren't ask to show anything other than the required forms).

answer depends on consulate

moving to:

US Embassy and Consulate General Discussion

You are almost there and now you have to deal with the embassy. This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here

YMMV

Normally only one year is required unless consulate specifically requests more. Some people submit three years if is to their benefit to do so.
