Interview dates

Hello everybody!

Our case reached NVC on 04-04-2009 and we paid the fees and sent all the documents required. NVC confirmed receiving the last documents on 20 April 2009. My husband called them yesterday and the NVC operator said that if the documents are complete (please God, no RFE), probably next week our case will be approved. The operator also said that we should wait until the second week of May to find out our interview date which shall probably take place in June. It seems that NVC only assigns interview dates in the second week of each month. Have you heard of this policy before?

Anyway, we hope that in June everything is over and I can go the States to start my life with my dear and loving husband.

This is the standard reply NVC gives, however, many have received interview dates into the third and last week of the month. We received our interview date for May on March 27. The previous day we were told by NVC that nothing had been scheduled and to call back mid-April. Keep in mind, it depends on how busy your consulate is as well. Good luck

Agreed. It all depends on your embassy but NVC will schedule them when they can. Not necessarily the 2nd week of the month

agreed..... we got the same answer.. though my case is complete on 20 th april...they said we'll get interview in june and call us in second week of may...
