Our case was complete April 8th and we are waiting for an interview date to be scheduled from NVC. We filed for the CR1 visa. Is there anyone else with an SO in Jordan that is waiting for an interview date? I just wanted to see if there was anyone in the same boat as me to get a timeframe. We are getting the same programmed response....call back the second week of May to see if you get a June interview date...blah blah blah.

Not where you are yet but inshallah soon.

I havent seen any one else thats due for an interview in Amman, but I have not researched it in depth.

How is SO handleing the wait ?

Hey Courtney...I hope you make it here soon!! Inshallah! That is why I posted this to see if there was anyone out there but I haven't gotten a response yet. Hey...if I am the only one waiting then for sure we should get a June interview...lol. No doubt there are probably people waiting that just aren't on VJ. I don't know where to look for that kind of info.

Raad is doing well...he is sooooooooooo much better at waiting than I am. He is super-antsy like me but he is just much better at handling it than me. But now that we are down to the last step it seems even harder to handle. Waiting for USCIS seems like a breeze now compared to this!!! Crazy as it may sound!!!

Before my husband was accepted for refugee, I had waited almost three months and still had no interview date. That was back in December. I think another girl on here waited a little less, like two months instead. The Amman embassy is always backed up and so getting an interview date takes longer. It is an improvement though. In 2007 you had to wait 8 months or more for an interview date.

Married: May 28th, 2007

Arrived in the US: December 10th, 2008

have you checked your email... My so is in Jordan but has his interview this monday. our case was complete 2.25.09 but within 2 days i

checked my email and there was the appointment letter! Inshallah it's coming!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

I-130 NOA1 : 2008-10-03

Dec 22 2008 Transferred to California Service Center

I-130 Approved : 2009-01-12

NVC Received : 2009-1-16

Officially in AVR : 2009-1-17 emailed scanned DS 3032

DS 3032 generated and accepted via email/ AOS I-864 generated : 2009-1-23

Received I-864 Bill : 2009-1-26

Pay I-864 Bill : 2009-1-26 status PAID 1-28

Pay IV Bill : 2009-1-26 status PAID 1-28

Send Completed I 864 and IV Package (overnight) : 2009-2-4 (had to wait for hubby's PC and original birth certificate to arrive)

Case Completed at NVC : 2009-2-11 !!!!

NVC Left : Received email March 3rd

Medical Completed : March 12, 2009

Interview Date : April 22, 2009. 8 am. VISA APPROVED!!!

Visa in Hand : April 27th, 2008!!! Arrival May 11th! POE JFK

Processing Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 101 days from your NOA1 date. NVC completed in 26 days! Interview was 201 days from Noa 1.
