Changing names on documents

I have two first names and it can be confusing in legal documents. So I was wondering if I should just drop my second first name (which most people in the US use as their middle name) in my AOS application.. and use my Maiden name as my middle name.. Any thoughts on this? Will it affect the validity of my documents? Thanks for your input!

As far as I know, you can change your name as soon as you are married, but it is best to wait until it is over, and you have your green card. Once change, whenever you are travelling or using you maiden name for legal reasons, you should have a copy of your marriage certificate with you as proof.

If you are not changing your name before applying for AOS, then you need to stick to the original name that is on your birth certificate, passport, and all the forms you have sent USCIS in the past.
