If you have Cox Digital Cable, there is a free preview happening now in Phoenix and Tucson on Channel 480. They show a lot of games that aren't on the Fox Soccer Channel. Unfortunately, it looks like the US version of Setanta doesn't (yet?) include cricket.

It will cost $14.99/mo after the free preview ends April 26.

I have Setanta on dish and its the best $14.99 a month a I spend

They get first choice on the EPL games compared to FSC. They show some championship games, FA cup, UEFA, Champions League that FSC does not show, Rugby too which I have missed watching. It was worth getting rid of cable after having a nightmare with reception just ot get Setanta.

We'll definitely be ordering it after the promotional period. It looks like it's not offered on cable in too many markets, so we're lucky in that respect.

Yeah very lucky. since I have had a dish I have been able to watch my team (Everton) so much on Setatana rather then wait and pray FSC will show them. Who is Joyce by the way?

A Joyce primer: http://snobsite.com/archives/2005/11/re_joyce.php

http://polkaboy.typepad.com/polkaholics/20...yce_update.html

A while back, I used to post different bad album covers and pictures in my signature, changing it every couple of weeks. I don't quite remember how it unfolded, but with some encouragement (from Miss Stacey, if memory serves), I started a Joyce thread and then decided that it should take the form of an advice column. Joyce is all about the groovy!

As I'm sure most who frequent this board are aware, it's Ashes year, and I'd really like to make the most of not being able to work by watching as much of the series as possible.

I saw earlier in this thread that Setanta won't be showing it, so has anybody got any clue who might be?

I have only ever seen cricket on stupidly expensive pay-per-view packages....I believe last ashes was offered by Dish Network for something insane like $200?

I thought nico meant the rubgy world cup on Setanta but the football world cup will be on ABC/ESPN. But I gotta warn.....the american announcers they get for the world cup are truly awful.

Robin, do you know if any of the LA pubs show cricket during the Ashes? I would love to see a few matches if possible.

Since Griff's Wolves were just promoted to the Premiership, we've decided to go for the Santanta. He is so excited! The deal we're getting through DirecTV is 1st month free, $9.99 for the next three months and then $14.99 per month thereafter. By this time next year we'll likely cancel as the Wolves are bound to be relegated after one season.

I do not...I know the usual pubs we've been to for football, ####### and Bull and Kings Head didn't have it. Might be something to do more research on ahead of time.

Are you a cricket fan then, Maven? That's unusual for British women, let alone American women!!!
