It is almost 30 months since my interview (I 485 and I 130 ).My name is pending FBI name check and clearance. . I came back to forum after a long time. I am getting frustrated and do not know how to proceed . Anybody in the forum wants to share and help/advice me regarding my case.

--Jan 13,2006 Entered USA as Visitor (B2) ( I-94 is valid till end of June,2006)

--March 28,2006 Married in Naperville ,Illinois to United States Citizen

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )

--July 2011 Citizenship Interview :

-- Nov 2011 Oath Ceremony -US Citizen

Do you know why your name is under FBI review?

MY Conditions Removal Timeline:

CIS Office: California

2011-05-16: Date Filed

2011-05-17: NOA Date

2011-06-14: Bio. Appt.

2011-09-21: Email confirming approval

2011-09-26: GC Received ツ

MY AOS Timeline:

2008-11-05: Date Filed

2008-11-14: NOA Date

2009-01-26: Bio. Appt.

2009-05-07: Interview Date

2009-05-14: RFE Received

2009-06-03: RFE Returned

2009-07-27: GC Received

Contact your Congressperson or Senator right away.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

From what country is the beneficiary originating? This is the crux of the equation. Sad, but true in most cases.

My wife was is the same boat? She was in a background check for over 2 yrs and finally they sent her a letter saying to come back for refinger prints because they were expired can you believe that and 3 months later she was approved. Have you recieved one of these letters?

If the only thing that is pending is the FBI namecheck they are authorized to issue the green card. This is a fairly new rule and you may want to schedule an info pass appointment to inquire about it.

Belinda, can you elaborate? How do you know this? Do you have a link?

this came into effect about a little over a year ago. my husband was stuck for 3 years in name check and finally got out at the same time this came into effect. we still dont know if he cleared naturally or by this new rule.
