K-3 approval notice

Hello,

Since we had the baby in the middle of the visa process, my wife had to change her K-3 appointment date due to travel limitations.

My wife's K-3 visa approval notice has a valid date range from February 11 until June 11. My question is if my wife has her interview appointment in Manila on June 3rd, does it mean she will have to receive her K-3 visa and travel to the US before June 11? Or does this mean she has to have her interview appointment before June 11? Please let me know if anyone knows the answer. Thanks! :)

It means your petition is approved for that period and she must submit her application for the Visa before that period ends. Since things can happen along the way, like problems with her medical, and requests for documents, I would not wait until the last minute. At least get the medical done right away. The K visa is valid for 6 mos, therefore once issued, the K visa holder must arrive at the POE before the six months expires.

The USEM will automatically extend the approved I-129f petition. The date your wife must come to the US will be on the K3 visa once it is approved as Mister Bill stated.

By your post, I am assuming the baby is yours. Have you started the paperwork on getting the baby a US passport?

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

It's a good idea to call the embassy and confirm they will automatically extend it.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Yes, he's my baby and we have already started getting the documents together for his CRBA and US passport. My main concern was being reassured that her K-3 visa would be ok still. I'm going to contact USEM when I arrive in Manila next week. Thanks everyone for your insight
