I leave on Wednesday night for a good friend's wedding in Italy. I know a lot of you haven't seen your SO's for quite a while, but I'm sad about being away from Wadi for only 5 days! I know it sounds crazy after all the time we spent apart. I wish he could come, but when we were planning, it just wasn't a sure enough bet to go ahead and buy the ticket.

I am definitely excited to back to Italy and visit my friends and some of our old haunts. I'll have to eat alone at Wadi and my favorite restaurants and call him on the cell instead!

Anyway, the next couple of days for us will be spent getting me ready to go!

Hope you all have a great day!

Have fun in Italy. I would love to go to Italy. Maybe when Mustapha and I are coming back to the US together will stop for a week in Italy.

I understand how even 5 days is a time you don't want to be apart. I had told Mustapha before that once we are finally living in the same country, he is not allowd to be away for even one night.

Well, at least I made it to Monday.

Had a very emotional Saturday, missing my man.... he'd been here for 4 weeks and the house was SO quiet. Decided to allow myself a pity party and wound up giving myself a migraine. I was SO SICK Saturday night.

Sunday morning, I dragged myself out of bed to go pick up my new horse trailer (yeah!), so there was a bright spot in my weekend.

Now I just keep checking the USCIS site every 5 mins to see if my RFE was issued.... pathetic, huh?

Have a ton of work to do here in the office and can't focus.. still have a headache... blah blah blah...

Now you're sorry you asked. :(

Sorry for the dump..... not having a good day... yet.

Jen

Lynne... thank you for your sweet thoughts always.

Jenn... wow, I sure wish I was travelling. I can understanding your feelings about missing your darlin.

JenT... I feel your pain. I think we all go through those meltdowns occasionally. Hang in there.

I have swallowed my pride and registered with 4 employment agencies this morning. It seems after a 2-week lull in the local job force, there are a number of positions that have opened up FINALLY and I've been able to fire off several resumes as well. There is one position in particular I am more then interested in and plan on pestering them to death over the next few weeks. I just can't take this sitting around much longer. Neither can my bank account!

My darlin' was sick with fever, but called this morning to say he's feeling better. I really hate when he's sick and I can't be there. It's not a good feeling. Alhamdulellah he's almost back to himself.

I hope everyone's week is off to a great start.

Just another day at work. No doctors in the office today so it's really slow. That's ok though.....I need a break!

I broke down and called DOS again today. They still say 90 days for this clearance! God....it's been a year since we started this #######.

Can it really be? USCIS site says that St. Paul is processing I-485's from November 14, 2005!!!!! That's 8 months before our petitions was recieved?? Is it lying to me or are we really in for an 8 month wait??? Arghh - bad news.

Anyway today - teaching, then I am working on a paper this afternoon. Hopefully will get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Hope everyone has a great day.

Congrats Meriem on the interview - Algeria really cranks out the interview once you call :)

I hope you enjoy your trip. I can't imagine leaving my SO once he gets here either! How nice to think of him waiting for you at home though...

Sorry about the migraine Jen, but I'd be pretty happy about picking up a new horse trailer too! My horse trailer is as old as I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I second the checking the website every 5 min. You're not alone! I just read on the K-1 site that someone received an email from their senator that there are 5,000 RFE's being mailed out TODAY! Here's hoping that we are among the 5,000!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you will hear good news soon. I have used temp agencies in the past and they've always been great in the meantime - something permanent always showed up once I started the temp jobs.

Do the dates they give ever make any sense?! Here's hoping they are giving the worst case scenerio!!!

Hey everyone. :D:D:D What a day! I have some more good news. When I got divorced, we had to sell our house. So I moved from the neighborhood my son grew up in. I rented a house in town. Kyle doesnt really like living here. He says all the time he wish we would move back. I was visiting the little elderly lady next door and the man that lives across the street came over. His parents lived 2 houses down in the old neighborhood. I was talking to him about the fact that I wished I could move back. He then says. I have a house for you. I said, Where? He said my mom and dads. He had to put them both in the nursing home due to failing health. Man, that was dropped right in my lap. So he said let me check with the rest of the family. I said ok. Today, he called, and I can have the house. He is going to give me an option to buy if I want. Kyle is on cloud nine. He has so many friends there. And the other great thing. My friend and her Algerian husband live across the street, one house over. I just need to get Hachemi here so he can help with the big move. Alhamdulillah. This has been a great day.
