"Touching" the Visa

Hoping someone can shed some light or experience here. I check the estimated processing times almost everyday and I'm trying to figure out if the time they list for the 129F for K1 Visa is the total time, or the time until they will send this to the embassy in the Fiancee's area..

Also, I've had my NOA1 for about 2.5 months now and I haven't seen anyone "touch" it when checking this online...Is this normal? Do they typically not "touch" it because they are backed up and then when they do they get it done fast?

Any advice/insight would be GREAT and set me at ease.....Or not....

6 months timeframe is when USCIS makes a decision on your petition. 2.5 months is probably still too early to see any movement. also some people don't even see a touch until it is actually approved, so you don't have to check everyday...

also please update your timeline, it will give you an estimated date for approval.

the timeline processing is the USCIS only

when the file sits in a box for 4 mos... no touches occur
