I have to tell you... she WAS the governor of Arizona. With the presidential election of 2008, Arizonans figured they couldn't lose! They'd either have an Arizonan in the White House OR Napolitano would be gone. They, unfortunately, were hoping more for the latter, and that's what they got! But, now the problem is, she's in charge of DHS. Oyyyyyy.... She's a real treat to have a round. Cant'cha tell??? Defintely not one of Arizona's most shining stars, that's for sure! :jest:

No kidding...this woman is killin me! When I posted this yesterday I noticed someone had posted another topic about her in the OT forum. She has no clue! Illegally crossing the border is not a crime? My favorite line from this:

While Ms. Napolitano and the rest of the Washington clueless are not very popular in Texas due to the infamous Border Fence and other assorted stupidity, she is correct in stating that the only terrorist ever caught at the border was coming from Canada.... :whistle: I don't think any of us blame Canada. :thumbs:

That's interesting. I don't think anyone really cares whether the U.S. Government or Ms. Napolitano blame Canada per se. Well, really I can't speak for all of Canada - so let's just say I don't care.

The question is more about he ignorance of some people.

So if the only terrorist ever caught at the border was coming from Canada - what does that say about Canada? Pretty much.....nothing.

To ignorant people who only listen to half the story on the Faux News, it means that Canada harbours terrorists. It's a haven even. Or so I've heard. :wacko:

Of course if you mention American gun smugglers caught trying to enter Canada, they ignore you :P

A couple of my american friends here were pissed of the other night because they said they were watching a hockey game on tv (not sure which one) and said Canadians were booing the US national anthem.

I said, take a look in the news at the latest diplomatic relations and you will see why. :lol:

That is so not cool.

I see that fans at the St Louis Blues vs some Canadian team on Sunday booed the Canadian National Anthem - what is up with these people?

What's even weirder is the article (in the National Sports Review) about the American anthem being booed by the Montreal Canadiens fans. The guy says:

Montreal is the only Canadian city where the Star Spangled Banner is booed on a regular basis.

We understand that it's not all Montreal fans. It's mostly the French-speaking fans who want Quebec to split from Canada.

I 'd never boo any one's anthem and I'm not sure why people do it. I think it's completely disrespectful and it gives your whole nation a bad name.

It's horrible and disrespectful, their "defense" is that they were not booing America, they were booing Boston but that is so stupid!! Bob Gainey made a plea to the fans to please stop and respect both anthems, not sure what happened last night if they behaved themselves

booing anthems is nothing new, it's been going on for probably as long as we've had anthems and cross border sporting events.

Doesn't make it right, but it's nothing new.
