Hi everyone,

My question is about Passport after marriage. Does anyone know that a wife has to show her married name on her passport for sending with DS-230 Visa form. I am interested in especially people from Pakistan, if they had to change their name before they file DS-230.

And also if Police certification has to go with the DS-230, because I heard you may be able to take it with you at the interview itself.

I appreciate everybody help on this.

Thank you

It is her choice to change it, but I believe they want the name in her passport to be the EXACT same as that on her visa. When I got my GC 6 years ago I was asked to get a new passport before they issued my visa because my middle name was not on it. I know it is a different situation, but they said at that point it has to be the exact same...
