A little nervous now ....

I been looking at recent time lines ... and most are getting NOA1 by email within 2 days .... I know they got our packet last friday ... so we are on the 3rd day now and no email .... just a little worried now something was missed ... we pray pray everything is there they need. I double, triple checked everything too hehe .... maybe a little too early to start worrying?

i think you're still ok... its still too early to get nervous... although i know the feeling since i sent my I-751 (removing condition) last week and now im getting nervous as well lol... when we filed our K1 before we actually got our noa1 a month later... and noa2 couple of months later... some folks got it sooner but i guess its just depends on who handle your case and or which service center you filed... or no reasons at all... though i wish you luck!!!

Awww thanks for the reply's ... I feel better now ..... I'll give it until next week before I worry too much than hehe.

We sent ours to California and they seem to be processing faster right now so that is a good thing. We just don't want any delays from missed papers or incomplete papers etc. But I am sure everyone here wishes and prays for that during this process hehe

Don't worry as some people get their NOA1 weeks after they sent their papers. Hope you get yours soon

Do not worry too much, you should get your NOA1 in the US Mail. You will almost certainly NEVER get an EMAIL for the NOA1. You will only get emails after you start tracking your case online and you need the receipt number to do this which you can get from the back of the check after it is cashed, or on the NOA1 itself (I think it is there too). Just sign up online at the USCIS site after you get it and sign up for email - then you can get an email when your NOA2 is approved.

For example, Sent the application on Feb 23, they received it on Feb 25, issued the NOA1 on Feb 26, but did not cash my check until March 3 (I was able to see my check electronically at that time and sign up on the USCIS site then). So the NOA1 happened before I could sign up for email (if you put your email on the application, they don't actually use it - you have to sign up). I received the NOA1 on March 4. It is normal to take a week or two to get a NOA1.

we didn't get our NOA1 until a month later because of computer glitch. we had to call and ask for a re-print 30 days after they received the mail. uscis seems to be having problems with this, one of our March filers didn't get their NOA2 mail, good thing they called sometime mid-April, they found out they got approved last March 26.

if you want to know your case status, see the back of your check... they stamped a number on it. get the number add 1 at the last number.

ie: 4+1 = 5; 7+1=8. If you're in California it should start with WACXXXXXXXXX then go to http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis type the number in Check Case Status. If your check is not yet cashed, wait for a few days.

if you did not receive any NOA1, call USCIS after 30 days.

yup im also waiting for my noa1 (for my I751)... in my observation, csc is just having some traffic and causes delays due to some cases from vsc were transfered to csc... so back log and whatnot... it will come hopefully!
