Hi guys, would like to ask if can i get or request a temporary work permit within the 90 days period for K1 visa. I arrived here in USA last Apr 6, 2009 and wanted to apply for a work. Is it possible for me to get a work permit? How can i apply for it? What are the forms that need to obtain? I wanted to work because our marriage will be on June. And thinking i wanna help in any way to my husband. I will appreciate if anyone can give advice for me.

Thanks in advance...

See this link for more information on adjusting status for K-1 visa users. As stated above, the cost of EAD (employment authorization document) is included in the $1010 fee to adjust status.

You could have a small legal ceremony before your actual 'wedding' which would allow you to file to Ajust status asap.

USCIS application for employment authorization There is also a link to instructions on that page for more information.
