Same here, poprocks! But at the end of the day, I also figured it could only help us.

Hello, FutureMrsDisney!! John and I submitted just a few emails that mentioned events and other pertinent info - like him telling me about preparations for his trip to SoCal for Thanksgiving, how well I get on with his mom when we talk on the phone, etc. - and me telling him how my mom couldn't wait to have him back home, how she was planning to cook all his favorite things, etc. We thought this would help establish that A) we had a bonifide relationship, and B) we were building bonified relationships with each other's families.

Yeah I thought the family idea was a good one. I have photos with his family, when we went to Disneyland (he was in Iraq so he didn't go) and he has pictures with my family but no picture with the both of us with our families. So I ended up not sending any. Should have huh? Even though we are not together on the pics.

But thank you!

Do be very careful about your non-legal ceremony. I would not include any photos or information about this ceremony...especially if you have plenty of on-going proof already. Wear no rings and do not speak about each other as 'husband/wife'. Although some people do this with no problems, we have had lots of horror stories here on VJ when couples have tried this as well.

We still speak about each other as boyfriend/girlfriend because we are not used to calling each other fiance yet haha. I think I will stick to that until we are legally married in America! Do you think it's ok to take pics of the ceremony to the K-1 Visa interview? Or should I forget about it?

As mentioned before, I would not dwell too much on this ceremony or maybe say it was a going-away party with all your friends. If there's anything on the photos that may look suspicious to the CO - like wedding gowns, church pictures, big cake with the words 'congratulations to the newly weds' :) - , you're going to be in trouble. The good news is that YOU get to choose the pictures, so it's your right to skip a few, especially if you have many valid others. Better be safe than sorry. Good luck!

Quick question about emails/letters: Do these documents need to be translated to English? My fiancé and I communicate mostly in French...

Yes, they need to be translated to English, especially when you are mailing stuff to USCIS (I say this because some embassies/consulates don't require translations - but most of them do!). Good luck!

Question my fiance lives in jamaica i live in america i just gave birth 4 weeks in america to our son should'nt that be enuff proof of our relationship ..............................

Congrats on your new baby bundle of joy! Babies are such a blessing.

You would think huh? Unfortunately, all it really proves is that you had a sexual encounter...and often without DNA testing...doesn't even mean they will believe it to be his child.

Best wishes on your K1 journey.
